{"id":3325,"date":"2016-09-30T11:57:18","date_gmt":"2016-09-30T10:57:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.holyfingers.co.uk\/main\/?p=3325"},"modified":"2016-11-20T21:11:35","modified_gmt":"2016-11-20T21:11:35","slug":"development-diary-19-on-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.holyfingers.co.uk\/main\/blog\/2016\/09\/30\/development-diary-19-on-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"Development Diary #19: On Schedule&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An extremely brief update today, I&#8217;ll be starting full-time work on the first <em>Toryans\u00e9<\/em> short next week&nbsp;so I thought I&#8217;d share&nbsp;the schedule I&#8217;m aiming at&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holyfingers.co.uk\/main\/blog\/2016\/08\/28\/development-diary-18-good-news-everyone\/\">grant application<\/a> I submitted the following list of development milestones leading up to completion of the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>3rd Oct. &#8211; Project Start<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>7th Oct. &#8211; Design Locked:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Story\/Puzzle Dependency Chart finished<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>7th Nov. &#8211; Environment Blocked:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Environment blocked in with temp. geometry, walkable areas defined and navigable with character stand\u00ad-in, cameras placed.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>21st Nov. &#8211; Character Locked:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Character design, modelling and walk animation finished, nav-\u00adagent set up in environment.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>19th Dec. &#8211; Environment Locked:<\/strong>\u00ad &nbsp;<em>Environment geometry detailed and lit.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>9th Jan. &#8211; Audio Locked: &nbsp;<\/strong><em>Spot FX and ambiance\/music finished and implemented.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>20th Jan. &#8211; Game Locked:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>UI and menus implemented, environmental interactions finalized, \u00adtesting.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>31st Jan. &#8211; Final Delivery:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Final testing, bug fixing and delivery.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Not really a schedule for work, all these jobs are going to overlap a lot, but at each of these points I&#8217;ll pop my head up and share a bit about how I&#8217;m getting on. That&#8217;ll maybe take the form of a quick little blog or, if I&#8217;ve been working on something interesting, a tutorial or process post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I&#8217;ll regularly be sharing screenshots and ramblings on <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/holyfingers\">Twitter<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/artoftoryanse.tumblr.com\/\">Tumblr<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Toryans%C3%A9\/139100656265397\">Facebook<\/a> as development progresses.
